Stosunkowo mało znana przeglądarka graficzna skrywająca w sobie jednak duże możliwości. ThumbsPlus oferuje wszystkie najpopularniejsze funkcje tego typu programów tj. umożliwia przeglądanie obrazów w formie miniatur i na pełnym ekranie itp. IrfanView odtwarza zarówno pliki graficzne jak i multimedialne oraz płyty Video CD. Umożliwia także, między innymi, katalogowanie plików, obróbkę i konwersję plików (również automatyczną), współpracę ze skanerem, dokonywanie zrzutów ekranowych, przygotowywanie wygaszaczy oraz wzbogacanie o opcjonalne moduły (plug-in'y) np. do odtwarzania plików muzycznych .mp3. Główną siłę programu stanowią właśnie wspomniane plug-in'y - dzięki możliwości programu mogą być bardzo rozbudowane.
